Remember the last newsletter when I said I was recently laid up from a procedure and wasn’t getting a lot of work done? Well, that continued for another month. And then we were out of our house for another month while some work got done on our apartment, and we took a trip for a birthday of mine that was a big round number. Anyway! Not much has been happening over here. I’ve been learning a hard lesson about “resting” and “not working 100 hours a week” that has been legitimately tough for me emotionally. But don’t worry, I’ve emerged with a really stupid idea: when I’m done with Between the Collapses (out sometime in…2027?) I think I might attempt a different kind of project. Why not!
In other news, my band FAITH/VOID just spent a weekend in the studio with my friend Isobel on the 1s and 2s and I’m so, so, so, so so excited for people to hear this record! It’s got a bunch of really stupid (complimentary) stuff on it, including my newest toy.
That’s right baby I’m a synth bitch now!!! Gosh. My beautiful wife Jaya got it for me for my 40th and I’m going to ruin everyone’s life!!!!!!
MICE is this weekend!
Hello Boston! This weekend is one of my favorite conventions, MICE! This one’s truly the best, free to the public, wonderful vibes, lots of comics! I’ll have all my books with me, and patches and pins. And Saturday morning, I’ll at 11:30, I'll be on the "Character Development in Comics" panel with Lee Lai, Nicholas Offerman, and Catalina Rufin!
